An Overview of Michael Jackson’s Concerts

Celebrated as one of the most eminent and popular megastar in the entire world, Michael Jackson began his career as a part of the Jackson 5 in 1968. However, he soon gained the status of the most amazing solo singer and performer in 1971. From then onwards, Michael Jackson has formed history with his ceaseless music and dance which was unknown to the world ever before. His concerts attracted millions of fans from all around the globe who could do anything to have a glimpse of this star.

In 1982, Michael Jackson’s career took a shoot with Thriller which became the all time best-selling music album ever. Bad in 1987, Dangerous in 1991, and History in 1995 are some other hottest albums of Michael. He is well-known for the innovative dance steps which surprised many while motivated countless people to follow his trend of music and dance.

Michael Jackson toured almost all parts of the world, performing and singing his matchless numbers. It was as a part of Jackson 5 that he took one of his earliest tours and did concerts in the U.S in 1970. He did his concerts with the other band in many prominent cities of USA.  It was followed by another concert series in 1971. He did as many as forty concerts in different parts of USA.

However, it was in 1972 that Michael got to perform his international concerts in Munich and Paris. Still under the banner of Jackson 5, Michael performed other concerts in four cities of Britain as well.

Other concerts were held in Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas during 1973. Michael was still with his brothers while he performed other concerts in 1973 in Japan as well as USA. In the same year, he also done some performances in Australia in addition to New Zealand.

For many years, Michael continued to have his concerts with his band. In 1987 with the release of “Bad”, Michael’s first solo concert history began to be penned. He began his concerts at the Korakuen Stadium, Yokohama where there were 14 concerts managed by him. Then, he performed 2 brilliant concerts in USA which brought in $700,000 and $200,000, breaking all time set records of all stars. Two further concerts at Flaminio Stadium, Rome were performed by Michael in addition to his concerts in London, where he got to entertain as many as 504,000 people with his 7 concerts at the Wembley Stadium. Michael’s Bad tour concerts marked to about 123 shows altogether where he entertained 4.4 million individuals with his breath-taking performances.

Another superb series of concerts by Michael Jackson started with his all time favorite album “Dangerous”. The concerts started in 1992 and Michael performed several concerts in different parts of the world. These performances added up to 67 shows all together and Michael continued his journey into the arena of music and dance in his own distinctive way.
